Hyderabad: JNTU-H is contemplating to allow its students a temporary withdrawal from their programme to initiate start-up ventures or product development etc.

Accordingly, the university is considering the idea to allow the BTech students take a break from study for a maximum duration of two semesters, preferably in one academic year to initiate start-up ventures or product development etc. However, this will be permitted only when the students successfully completes the courses listed out in the first four semesters.

A request for the break from study with adequate evidence to the seriousness of the venture will have to be forwarded by the college principal for approval, the JNTU-H said on Friday.

The break from study on serious health reasons is also likely to be permitted with the approval of the college principal. All such cases of break in study are to be reported to the university and approved by the Vice Chancellor, it added.
