Hyderabad: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) and Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Hyderabad have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate a collaborative programme of education, research and training in the field of environment and allied subjects.
The MoU was exchanged by JNTU-H, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy and Dr. Y. Purushottam, Scientist ‘E’, the representee of Dr. R. Ratheesh, director, C-MET, Hyderabad.
As a part of the MoU, the JNTU-H will provide technical assistance to C-MET in implementing e-waste management and establish a research center as per university norms. The C-MET proposed to sponsor PhD students under joint supervision, sharing of resources and IPR/patent, the JNTU-H said on Friday.
Both institutions mutually agreed for co-operation on e-waste activities, exchange of information, teaching materials, technological and scientific publications, providing mutual opportunities for faculty members and researchers to deliver lectures, internships to students, organizing lectures, symposia, webinars, international meetings, conferences, training programmes and workshops, it added.
