Jubilee Hills bypoll: Voters can cast their vote using 12 valid photo Id documents
Voters in the Jubilee Hills Assembly bye-election on November 11 can vote using any of 12 valid photo ID proofs, including Aadhaar, PAN, passport, and driving licence, the District Election Commissioner said, ensuring no eligible voter is left out.
Hyderabad: In the Jubilee Hills Assembly bye-election to be held on November 11, voters can exercise their franchise using any of the 12 valid photo identity proof.
District Election Commissioner, R V Karnan on a Friday released the list of 12 valid photo Id proofs and said the aim was to ensure that eligible voters were empowered to exercise their democratic right.
Voters whose names were present in the electoral rolls but do not possess an Electors’ Photo Identity Card (EPIC) can still cast their vote by presenting any one of the following 12 approved photo identification documents at the polling station.
Accepted Alternative Photo ID Documents, include:
-Aadhaar Card
-MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) Job Card
-Passbook with photograph issued by Bank or Post Office
-Health Insurance Smart Card issued by Ministry of Labour or Ayushman Bharat Health Card
-Driving Licence
-PAN Card
-Smart Card issued by Registrar General of India under National Population Register (NPR)
-Indian Passport issued by the Ministry of External Affairs
-Pension document with photograph
-Service Identity Card with photograph issued to employees by Central/State Govt, PSUs, or Public Limited Companies
-Official Identity Cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs
-Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card issued by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment
