Jubilee Hills CI suspended over alleged misconduct involving woman complainant

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar has placed Jubilee Hills Circle Inspector (CI) Srinivasulu Reddy under suspension following allegations of serious misconduct involving a woman complainant.
According to sources, a preliminary departmental inquiry reportedly found that the inspector developed an inappropriate relationship with a woman who had approached the police station to lodge a complaint. The inquiry allegedly indicated that he sexually exploited her.
It was also reportedly found that the inspector extorted money by allegedly using videos related to the woman. The inquiry further revealed that the officer and the woman had lived together in the same house for several days.
Based on the findings of the preliminary departmental inquiry, Commissioner Sajjanar ordered the suspension of Srinivasulu Reddy. A detailed departmental inquiry into the allegations is underway.
