Jubilee Hills Traffic Inspector transferred amid bribery allegations

Jubilee Hills Traffic Inspector Narsing Rao has been transferred following allegations of accepting bribes to clear drunk-and-drive challans. City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar has ordered a full-scale inquiry, and multiple officers, including Sub-Inspector Ashok, have also been transferred.

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills Traffic Inspector Narsing Rao has been transferred following allegations of taking bribes to clear drunk-and-drive challans.

City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has subsequently ordered a full-scale inquiry after receiving multiple complaints against the officer.


Further, Sub-Inspector Ashok, Home Guard Keshavalu and court constable Sudhakar were also transferred for their alleged involvement.

The Commissioner had reiterated that corruption would not be tolerated and warned of strict action against any officer found guilty, irrespective of rank.
