With no pressure of medal hopes, the judoka, who is making her debut in the Games, feels it would be a great chance for her to showcase her talent. The 26-year-old athlete from Manipur had qualified for the Games through continental quota from Asia. She had 989 points to her name that put her at the seventh spot in Asian list. The continent has 10 quotas.

The talented athlete is ranked at 46 in the world in her category and had a month-long training camp in France to boost her game. She had won a silver medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. While she may not be a medal contender, competing at the world’s biggest stage can be a big learning lesson for her.
