Mahabubnagar: Junior college students, who were heading for an excursion, had a miraculous escape when the school bus in which they were travelling lost control and overturned near Balanagar here on Thursday.
Students of Manikanta Junior College from Marikal in Narayanpet district boarded the bus belonging to a private school, for an excursion to Jala Vihar in Hyderabad. However, the bus lost control and overturned on the road. Immediately, the locals rushed to the spot and rescued the students, according to reports.
A few students sustained minor injuries in the incident and offered first aid. It was a narrow escape for them as the accident area is a high traffic zone and known as an accident spot. Traffic movement was affected on the route due to the incident and a few vehicles also got damaged, reports said.
