Justice Satish Chandra joins Green India Challenge in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana State High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma participated in the Green India Challenge and planted seedlings.
Green India Challenge programme which was initiated by Rajya Sabha Member Joginapalli Santosh Kumar conducted plantation programme under the auspices of AG BS Prasad at the High Court Premises. Santosh Kumar was the chief guest at the event.
Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma who along with other judges, Additional AG J Ramachander Rao, planted the saplings, specially congratulated Santosh Kumar who took up the Green India Challenge.
He recollected his childhood days and said that he came from a farmer’s family and appreciated Santosh Kumar for successfully carrying out Green India Challenge as such programs would go a long way in protecting the environment.
Santosh Kumar said he was born in the then old government maternity hospital located in the High Court premises and felt happy to plant saplings along with CJ and other judges in the same premises. The judges expressed their happiness over the planting of saplings in the High Court premises as part of the Green India Challenge.
Santosh Kumar also presented a book on Vrikshavedam to CJ Satish Chandra Sharma other Judges present on this occasion. Justice Rajasekhar Reddy, Justice P Naveen Rao, Justice G Sridevi, Justice Shree Sudha, Bar Council Chairman A Narasimha Reddy, Bar Association President Ponnam Ashok Goud, Bar Association General Secretary Kalyan Rao, GPs Joginapally Sai Krishna were present on the occasion which was also attended by PPs, Senior Advocates, Standing Council Members, Food Commission Member Govardhan Reddy, Green India Challenge Co-Founder Raghava and other representatives.
