Hyderabad: BRS working president K T Rama Rao thanked the party cadre for their spirited protests and urged them to continue exposing the Congress government’s frauds and failures in fulfilling its electoral promises.

He charged the Congress government with undemocratically suspending BRS MLA G Jagadish Reddy from the Assembly, misusing the legislative rules to silence the opposition.

He vowed to intensify the protests against the failures of the Congress government and its repressive tactics.

In a statement on Friday, Rama Rao appreciated the party cadre for the Statewide demonstrations, noting that their fighting spirit reminded him of the Telangana statehood movement.

He said the Chief Minister was suppressing BRS leaders to cover up his government’s failures even after 15 months in power.

“The Assembly is meant for debate, not dictatorship. The Congress might evade tough questions in the Assembly, but they cannot escape being accountable to four crore people of Telangana,” he declared, vowing to take the fight to the people.

Rama Rao stated that the Congress, after coming to power with false promises, was now leading the State toward financial ruin.

Declaring that the BRS had only just begun its fight, he urged party ranks to remain united until the fraudulent Congress government was brought to its knees.
