Hyderabad: UK-headquartered data analytics and ERP specialist company Kagool Data has expanded its footprint in Hyderabad by setting up its second development centre (15,000 sq ft) at Kapil Towers, Financial District, Gachibowli. The company set up its first centre in the city in 2017.

Kalyan Gupta Brahmandlapally, head, India Operations, Kagool Data, told Telangana Today, “We are fast spreading our presence in Hyderabad. We have 200 employees now and 70 per cent of them are employed locally. There is a large talent pool in the city. By the end of 2025, we are going to increase our headcount to 2,000 and invest about $5 million (Rs 38 crore) here.”

He added, “Kagool has global operations spread across the UK, US, India, Malaysia, and Latin America with an employee base of 600. The company has recently set up a development centre in Chicago, US and is expanding in Malaysia soon. We will expand in South America and Europe also. Kagool will explore acquisitions as well in future to expand business into new geographies.”

Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT), Government of Telangana, who formally inaugurated the facility, said, “Not only large multinationals, but Hyderabad has also attracted medium and small companies to establish their base and enable rapid expansion. It is good to see product-based companies such as Kagool transforming in this ecosystem, as the State government has been constantly encouraging product development and innovation.”

Brahmandlapally added, “We are aggressively strengthening our capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are expanding our product portfolio. Kagool’s partnerships with Microsoft and SAP and our twin data modernisation accelerator products Velocity and Pulse are fuelling the company’s growth. Going forward, we are targeting utilities, manufacturing, retail, and public sector companies for business opportunities.”

Daniel James Barlow, Group CEO of Kagool, said, “Our India operations are key to our current operations and overall strategy, helping us to continue to grow our business 100 per cent year on year. Kagool also plans to expand its footprint in the USA, Mexico, Middle East, and Europe in the next one year.”
