Kakatiya University Asst. Registrar suspended for encroaching varsity land
According to the probe conducted by the officials, Ashok Babu built a house in survey number 229 in the suburb of Kumarpally belonging to the university
Warangal: Kakatiya University assistant registrar Pendli Ashok Babu, who is facing charges of land grabbing, has been suspended.
University registrar Mallareddy on Wednesday issued orders suspending Ashok Babu. There were allegations that Ashok Babu built a house by occupying varsity land and the same was proved during the survey conducted by the vigilance, revenue and KU officials.
According to the probe conducted by the officials, Ashok Babu built a house in survey number 229 in the suburb of Kumarpally belonging to the university.
However, Ashok Babu claimed that he built a house in survey number 235 outside the university and that it was not university land.
Recently, Ashok Babu posted on social media defying the survey conducted by the vigilance and revenue officials and challenged the report.
The registrar issued a memo five days ago asking him to give an explanation within three days. Expressing dissatisfaction with Ashok Babu’s explanation, in-charge Vice Chancellor Vakati Karuna issued suspension orders.
