Warangal Urban: Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal, has won the ‘One District One Green Champion’ Award by MGNCRE, Union Ministry of Education, under Swachhata Action Plan 2020-21.

The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) recently selected 400 colleges from across India that had actively participated in keeping their campuses clean and sanitised.

MGNCRE gives these awards to institutions that are making progress towards a ‘Swachh Bharat’. This is even more relevant now because of the Covid-19 pandemic. KU NSS coordinator Dr S Jyothi received the award from the hands of District Collector RG Hanumanthu here on Wednesday. KU VC T Ramesh, and Registrar Prof B Venkatram Reddy were present.
