Kamareddy: The bodies of a man and a woman, who were in a relationship, were found hanging at separate spots in Konapur village of Bibipet mandal in the district on Saturday.

They were identified as Sai Kumar (24) from Konapur village and Veena (22) from Ambaripet village of Domakonda mandal of the district.

According to reports, Saikumar and Veena were reportedly in a relationship for the last few years and wanted to get married.

However, their families were against it and this was causing a lot of mental trauma to both of them.

Despite repeated pleas by the duo when the family members refused to accept their relationship, they decided to end their lives and on Saturday, Saikumar hanged himself from a tree on the outskirts of the village, whereas Veena hanged herself from the ceiling at her house.

The police shifted the bodies to the Kamareddy Government Area Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
