Kamareddy: Covid-19 cases have come down from 27 to 15 per cent in Kamareddy district and district administration should strive to contain the spread of the virus, said Road and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Wednesday.
The Minister conducted a review meeting along with whip Gampa Goverdhan and Collector Dr Sharath.
Minister said that Kamareddy district administration was ready to tackle any situation of Covid-19. He said the district has 719 beds of which 258 patients were admitted and the remaining 450 beds were vacant.
Prashanth Reddy said that there was no scarcity of Remdesivir injections and also have sufficient oxygen for treatment in the district. Till now government appointed 81 staff in PHC’s, general hospitals, and wellness centers, he said.
Minister said Covid household survey gave satisfactory results in Kamareddy district, of 2,54,494 houses surveyed in the district, only 4,658 persons were having Covid symptoms and were handed Covid kits. He appealed to people to co-operate with the lockdown.
