Kankatala Sarees opens outlet at Kukatpally

This is second in city and 11th in the country

Hyderabad: Kankatala Sarees launched a new outlet at Kukatpally in Hyderabad. This is its second outlet in the city and 11th in the country.

Kankatala is one of the oldest saree brands in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and has represented the age-old weaving techniques for more than 77 years.

“We are delighted with the support our patrons have given to us for the last 77 years,” said Mallikarjuna Rao Kankatala, Chairman, Kankatala Sarees.

The standalone store unveiled on Monday is spread across 5000 SqFt. The store will house more than 20,000 handwoven sarees from 50 major weaving clusters of India. It will have Kanchipuram, Banarasi, Patola, Ikat, Paithani, Kota, Uppada, Khadi, Jamdani, Organza, Kalamkari, Gadwal, Tussar and more varieties of sarees, he said.

Directors Arvind, Bharat and Anirudh Kankatala were also present., a release said.
