Hyderabad: Former Indian cricket team captain and the chief architect of India’s historic Cricket World Cup victory in 1983, Kapil Dev on Wednesday participated in the Green India Challenge, initiated by Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar.
The ace cricketer of yesteryears joined the now viral challenge by planting saplings in his house at Sundar Nagar in New Delhi. Kapil Dev expressed his happiness to be part of the Green Challenge and asked all Indians to plant as many trees as possible to protect the environment and improve the greenery around them.
He also said it was the duty of this generation to give a good environment to the next generation.
