Karimnagar: Twenty-six students fell ill due to suspected food poisoning at Government Primary School in Jammikunta on Monday.

The students complained of vomiting and other health issues after eating eggs served for lunch under the mid-day meal programme. A total of 71 students had lunch at the primary school, functioning on the premises of Government Girls High School. Of them, 26 developed health problems. Students said a foul smell was emanating from the eggs while they were eating them.
