Karimnagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Tuesday caught a senior assistant of District Headquarters Hospital while accepting a bribe from his colleague for official favour.

According to ACB officials, Surender, working as a senior assistant in the District Headquarters Hospital, demanded a Rs 12,000 bribe from Ramesh, a lower cadre employee, for clearing medical bills.

Not interested to pay the bribe, Ramesh approached ACB who hatched a plan and caught Surender while accepting the amount in the hospital premises on Tuesday.

ACB DSP Badraiah and others participated in the raid.
