Karimnagar: Canal breach floods Mannempally village, causing damage to homes and fields

Reports indicate that the breach has flooded numerous fields, causing significant damage to farmers' crops. The canal lining in the SC colony is said to be defective, with breaches occurring at least five times in the past.

Karimnagar: Houses in Mannempallly village were inundated with water flowing after the D4 canal developed a breach on Sundey morning. The can supplies water from Thotapally reservoir to Manakondur mandal.

Reports said water has also inundated many fields leading to extensive losses to the farmers. It is said that the canal lining at the SC colony was imperfect and that it had developed breaches at least five times in the past.


Karimnagar

The village sarpanch Medi Anjaiah alerted the officials about the breach. The villagers are waiting for the officials to take up the repairs to plug the breach.
