Karimnagar: Cops foil woman’s suicide attempt

Suspecting the movements of the lady near LMD, Lake police personnel patrolling the area questioned her and came to know that she was waiting to commit suicide. Cops counselled her and handed over to family members

Karimnagar: Lake police rescued a woman who tried to commit suicide by jumping into Lower Manair Dam here on Saturday.

A resident of Ashoknagar, Karimnagar town, the 23-year-old woman decided to end life due to family disputes and came to LMD in the afternoon.

Suspecting the movements of the lady, Lake police personnel patrolling the area questioned her and were shocked to know that she was waiting to commit suicide due to family disputes.

SI V Venkat Reddy gave counseling to the woman and later handed her over to family members. Commissioner of Police, VB Kamalasan Reddy appreciated SI Venkat Reddy, constables Goutham and Ashok and homeguard Sundaraiah for rescuing the lady.
