Karimnagar: Karimnagar Milk Producer Company Limited (Karimnagar Dairy), which is on an expansion mode to increase milk procurement as well as sales, performed puja for the soon to be inaugurated Bulk Milk Cooling Unit (BMCU) at Malkapet village in Konaraopeta mandal and Kothagattu village near Huzurabad in Karimnagar district on Monday.
Similarly, the dairy authorities had also performed puja for the inauguration of the department dairy parlours at Bellampalli, Mancherial, Velgatoor and in Karimnagar town at Ambedkar road. Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwara Rao, managing director P Shankar Reddy and advisor V Hanumantha Reddy and others participated in the programme of puja ceremonies at BMCUs.
Each BMCU would come up with a capacity of 5,000 litres. They would ensure better profits to the milk producing farmers and eliminate souring of milk due to cooling at the collection centre and saving transportation costs.
Dairy marketing manager Rajashekhar Reddy supervised the puja works for the proposed four new dairy parlours. The completion of four department dairy parlours would make it a total of 46 parlours in the Karimnagar district.
