Karimnagar: The Karimnagar District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB), which has won several national awards for emerging as the best cooperative bank in the country, has added two feathers to its cap by receiving the coveted two ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 10002: 2018 certificates from the International Standards Organisation (ISO). The Bank had received two ISO certifications including one for the banking activity for agriculture development and rural prosperity in customer satisfaction standards and another for the quality standards. Incidentally, the Karimnagar DCCB is the first cooperative bank in the country to receive the ISO certifications.
Announcing this in the bank’s annual general body meeting held in Karimnagar town on Wednesday, DCCB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao said that he was very happy and delighted to receive the ISO certification to the bank. “It is a good recognition for the bank staff as it was because of their hard work and dedication, the bank received the ISO certification”, he stated. The bank had emerged as a role model for the entire country with several cooperative societies making exposure visits to Karimnagar DCCB to learn about the success mantra of the bank, he said proudly. Earlier, the Mulkanoor cooperative bank was a role model. Now, Karimnagar DCCB replaced it and transformed all the PACS in the district as Mulkanoor societies, he stated.
Explaining about the common pool officers’ programme and transfer of officers in the state, he said that there was good response to the initiatives as the staff transferred from Karimnagar to Warangal had brought lots of changes in the performance. “There is a need for interchange of knowledge and expertise from Karimnagar DCCB with other banks in the state to make all the cooperative banks function on par with Karimnagar DCCB”, he stated. Bank CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, NABARD DDM P Ananth, DCO Srimala, DCMS chairman A Srikanth Reddy, board of directors and others were also present.
