Karimnagar: Help desks at banks for Dalit Bandhu beneficiaries
The Collector on Friday inaugurated help desks at District Cooperative Bank, Veenavanka, State Bank of India, Jammikunta, Union Bank and Telangana Gramina Bank, Jammikunta, and SBI Huzurabad branch.

Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan said on Friday that help desks were being established in all the banks to clear doubts among the beneficiaries about the Dalit Bandhu amount.
The Collector on Friday inaugurated help desks at District Cooperative Bank, Veenavanka, State Bank of India, Jammikunta, Union Bank and Telangana Gramina Bank, Jammikunta, and SBI Huzurabad branch.
Karnan interacted with beneficiaries who visited the banks to verify whether Dalit Bandhu amount was deposited in their accounts. He checked the account details of a few beneficiaries by entering their names and account numbers in the computers set up in help desks.
As Rs 10 lakh Dalit Bandhu amount was deposited in their accounts, the Collector informed the same to the beneficiaries who felt happy and thanked him for the assistance.
Karnan said the beneficiaries need not to worry since Dalit Bandhu amount has been deposited in bank accounts of all the eligible families. Beneficiaries, who have not got the SMS on their mobile phones, could clarify whether the amount was deposited in their accounts by approaching help desks set up in banks.
Every month, Rs 2,475 interest amount would be deposited in the bank accounts of beneficiaries till the principal amount was withdrawn for the establishment of business units, he informed and advised the beneficiaries to develop financially by taking up profitable businesses.
RDO Ravinder Reddy, lead bank Manager K Laxman and managers of various banks participated in the inauguration of help desks.
