Karimnagar: Irrigation department officials have decided to release water from Lower Manair Dam by lifting flood gates on Monday morning. 5000 cusecs of water will be released into the river by lifting gates at 9 am.
Water levels in the LMD reached to 23 tmc as against its storage capacity of 24 tmc since the project is getting copious inflows following the recent rainfall.

In a statement, Executive Engineer, P Nagabushana Rao asked revenue and police department officials to take precautionary measures and make announcements in villages through tom-tom.
