Karimnagar: Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao said that Congress and BJP leaders do not have the guts to visit irrigation projects constructed in the State by the Telangana government.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mayor said, “If they visit projects, they have to appreciate the development done by the State government. So, they were not daring to visit the irrigation projects.”

He said that it was the greatness of the TRS government, which has taken steps to flow water in canals even in the hot summer by completing irrigation projects.

Besides the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Ministers and other public representatives were also working for the welfare of the people, the Mayor said.

He said that while the Chief Minister and Minister were working hard for the welfare of the people, the opposition leaders were criticising the TRS government.

“Were Congress and BJP leaders criticising the State government for supplying 24 hours power supply and providing financial assistance to farmers by Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes”? he questioned.

Stating that TRS leaders were also capable of making comments, the Mayor warned to give a befitting reply to opposition leaders if the latter failed to change their language.
