Karimnagar mayor Sunil Rao flays BJP president Bandi Sanjay

Karimnagar: Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao came down heavily on BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar for commenting on the internal affairs of Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, the Mayor found fault with Sanjay for commenting on TRS matters instead of looking after his own party affairs. Where was the need for BJP leader to intervene in the internal affairs of TRS when the latter was not intruding into BJP’s party matters.
Though its own party activists burnt the state BJP office in Hyderabad, the state president was not talking about it.
Moreover, except a few, a majority of BJP senior leaders were unhappy with Sanjay’s attitude since the latter was not taking them into confidence.
A number of leaders worked as BJP state presidents like Sanjay. But, some of them were nowhere in politics. Sanjay should keep it in the mind, he advised.
Sunil Rao criticized BJP president for making comments on the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s recent Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project visit. Senior BJP leader appreciated Chief Minister for the latter’s struggle for separate state, he informed and questioned where was Sanjay when Chandrashekar Rao continued separate Telangana movement for 14 years.
Development of Telangana was the single point agenda of TRS party. The Chief Minister and TRS party were working to materialize it. While the Telangana government was striving hard for the growth of the state, BJP president was trying to benefit by creating trouble among the public.
Being the MP from Karimnagar parliament seat, Sanjay never talked about the development of Karimnagar. People were watching everything and would teach a befitting lesson to Sanjay, he observed.
By winning Dubbaka by election and a few seats in GHMC polls, BJP leaders thought that BJP has become more strong in the state. It was wrong, he said and made it clear that nobody would compete with TRS in any polls.
Besides introducing a number of welfare schemes, the Telangana government had completed major irrigation projects by making parched lands into green fields. As a result, tanks and ponds were filled with plenty of water even in the summer season. No BJP ruled state made such kind of arrangements.
Moreover, the union government led by BJP has done nothing to develop the state.
