Karimnagar: Newly married couple takes part in Green India Challenge

Karimnagar: A newly married couple participated in Green India Challenge by planting a sapling within a few minutes after their wedding ceremony, in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
The couple Enumula Vijay and Mahitha got married in Padmanayaka function hall here on Thursday.
While participating in Green India Challenge launched by Rajya Sabha MP Joginipalli Santhosh Rao, the couple planted sapling in the name of Santhosh Rao in the function hall premises in the presence of Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor emphasised the need to plant trees in a big way to protect the environment. Youth should come forward voluntarily to plant saplings and make Green India Challenge a big success.
Parents of the couple also participated in a tree plantation programme.
