Karimnagar: Nursing student dies by suicide after alleged harassment by classmate
A 20-year-old nursing student allegedly died by suicide at a private hostel in Karimnagar early Thursday following alleged harassment by her classmate. Police registered a case against the classmate based on a complaint from the student’s father and launched an investigation.
Karimnagar: A student pursuing general nurse midwifery course at a private nursing college in Theegalaguttapalli died allegedly by suicide after she was unable to bear harassment by her classmate here early on Thursday morning.
Karimnagar II town police said that Rajitha (20) from Kataram in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district resorted to the drastic step after being harassed by one Geetha around 4 am. Rajitha was depressed after Geetha harassed her alleging that she was moving close with Geetha’s friend by administering some drug herself at a private hostel at the Doctors’ Street of the town.
A case has been registered against Geetha based on a complaint from Rajitha’s father Ramesh. Investigations got underway.
