Karimnagar: District Collector RV Karnan instructed officials on Friday to ground all the business units sanctioned to beneficiaries under Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad constituency. Grounding of 90 per cent of the business units should be completed by February 14.
The Collector held a meeting with officials involved in grounding Dalit Bandhu units at his camp office here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he instructed the lead bank manager to release 50 per cent of the amount first to the beneficiaries who have chosen dairy units to facilitate their purchase of milch animals.
He also instructed Karimnagar and Vijaya dairy officials to take beneficiaries to Tamil Nadu, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh states to purchase buffaloes. Beneficiaries should be taken to different states by dividing them into groups.
The Collector directed deputy transport commissioner Mamindla Chandrashekhar Goud to take steps to ground transport vehicles by releasing 50 percent of the amount first to beneficiaries.
Executive Director, SC Corporation, Suresh, Nehru Yuva Kendra district coordinator Rambabu, Lead Bank manager Laxman Animal Husbandry officer Narender, Huzurabad MVI Siraj Mohammed, representatives of Karimnagar and Vijaya dairies and others participated in the meeting.
