Karimnagar police arrest habitual burglar, recover Rs 5 lakh, gold
Karimnagar Two Town police arrested a habitual burglar and recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash and gold ornaments. The accused, previously booked under the PD Act, had committed multiple thefts and was caught following a targeted search operation.

Karimnagar: Karimnagar Two Town police on Monday arrested a habitual burglar and recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash and ten grams of gold ornaments from him. Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam, in a statement, explained the modus operandi of the burglar, Boddula Ugender from Durshad of Karimnagar Rural mandal.
Ugender entered the Sri Chaitanya College office by breaking the lock in the Mankammathota area in the early hours of April 26 and stole Rs 5 lakh in cash and a gold chain. He hid them on the premises of his house. Based on reliable information, Inspector Srujan Reddy and his team conducted a search at Ugender’s house and recovered the stolen property.
In order to earn money in an easy way and lead a lavish life, he was involved in frequent thefts. Earlier, he was arrested and the PD Act was invoked against him. However, he again started committing burglaries after being released from jail.
