Karimnagar: Taskforce police on Monday seized Rs 1.5 lakh worth of teak wood and arrested three persons for illegally transporting teakwood logs. Karimnagar: Taskforce police on Monday seized Rs 1.5 lakh worth of teak wood and arrested three persons for illegally transporting teakwood logs. Based on reliable information, taskforce police conducted raids near Mallapur of Thimmapur mandal and seized a tractor carrying 60 teakwood logs without valid records.
The arrested were Puppala Thirupati, Mallapur of Thimmapur mandal, Odela Koteshwarlu and Vengala Nagaiah of Ippalapalli of Keshapatnam mandal. The accused along with teak logs were handed over to forest officials for further investigation.
