Karimnagar: Transport department generates Rs 185 cr annual revenue

According to Deputy Transport Commissioner Mamindla Chandrashekhar Goud, the Karimnagar region recorded five percent jump when compared to previous year’s revenue

Karimnagar: Roads and Transport department of erstwhile Karimnagar district earned Rs 185.48 crore revenue for the financial year 2020-21.

According to Deputy Transport Commissioner Mamindla Chandrashekhar Goud, the Karimnagar region recorded five percent jump when compared to previous year’s revenue. They earned Rs 34.7 crore through quarterly tax, Rs 114.4 crore through lifetime tax, Rs 9.43 crore through service charges, Rs 2.56 crore through vehicle checking and Rs 28.38 crore through other fees. Among the districts, Karimnagar accrued a revenue of Rs 73.88 crore, Jagitial earned Rs 40.94 crore, Peddapalli realised Rs 47.14 crore and Rajanna-Sircilla secured Rs 23.52 crore revenue.
