Karimnagar: Various sections of the society paid their tributes to a six-year-old girl who was raped and killed at Singareni colony in Saidabad of Hyderabad.

Terming the incident as heinous, people paid tributes to the girl by placing candles at her portrait in different places of erstwhile Karimnagar district on Sunday.

The Tribal JAC paid tribute to the victim by arranging candles at Tahsildhar chowk in Jagitial. Residents of Ramannapet and Sultanabad paid tributes to the girl by placing candles. SFI activists burnt the effigy of the accused in Telangana chowk of Karimnagar town. Agitating people demanded that the government seek the death sentence for the accused who raped and killed an innocent girl.
