TSCAB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao distributing PMJJBY cheques to kin of customers in Karimnagar on Wednesday.
Karimnagar: Chairman of Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank Konduru Ravinder Rao on Wednesday handed insurance cheques of Rs 2 lakh each (total Rs 10 lakh) to bereaved family members of five customers of the District Cooperative Central Bank who died recently.
The deceased customers were insured under the Pradhan Manthri Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Manthri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). The bank had enrolled a total of 20,867 customers under PMJJBY with a premium of Rs 330 per annum and 42,200 customers were enrolled under PMSBY by paying the premium of Rs 12 per annum.
The nominees of the enrolled are eligible for Rs 2 lakh insurance amount under PMJJBY for natural death and Rs 2 lakhs under the PMSBY for accidental death.
Ravinder Rao handed over the cheques to nominees of P Shashikala, A Haridas, J Hemanth Kumar, R Laxmi and Ch Padma of bank customers of the integrated Karimnagar district.
Ravinder Rao said that the DCCB was spreading awareness about the Centre’s social security schemes such as PMJJBY and PMSBY among the rural public, retail customers and borrowing members affiliated to 128 PACS and 67 DCCB branches in various parts of the integrated Karimnagar district.
DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao, TSCAB general manager A Padma, general manager B Sridhar, main branch DGM Riazuddin, branch manager Sunil and others were also present.
