Hyderabad: Former MLC Karne Prabhakar accused the Revanth Reddy government of failing to deliver any tangible development despite completing two-and-a-half years in office. He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had confined himself to laying foundation stones and inaugurating projects initiated by the BRS government.

“Revanth Reddy has not completed any of the projects for which he laid foundation stones in the last two-and-a-half years. It is doubtful whether he will complete them during the remainder of his term. Instead, he is focusing more on criticising BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and senior BRS leaders than on administration,” the BRS leader said.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Prabhakar contrasted the Congress government’s performance with that of the previous BRS regime, crediting KT Rama Rao with attracting investments and T Harish Rao with expanding irrigation facilities.

Prabhakar also criticised the government’s proposed Future City initiative, calling it impractical. He stated that a majority of the projects were being pursued for commissions rather than public benefit. He accused the government of creating uncertainty through HYDRAA and the Musi River rejuvenation project, stating that these measures were adversely affecting the poor and investor confidence.

He said Revanth Reddy was following in the footsteps of dictators such as Adolf Hitler, Muammar Gaddafi and Idi Amin, and causing hardship to the poor in Telangana.
