Kaushik Reddy seeks six weeks to submit his explanation

BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has sought six weeks’ time to respond to the State Assembly Ethics Committee over complaints regarding his conduct in the House. He also sought the complete video of proceedings related to the March 29 incident

Hyderabad: BRS MLA from Huzurabad Padi Kaushik Reddy has sought six weeks time to submit his explanation to the State Assembly Ethics Committee.

Following complaints against his conduct in the House, the Committee had served notices to the MLA seeking his response by Saturday. However, Kaushik Reddy in a letter to the Committee stated that the notice was received on August 31. Citing the upcoming session, scheduled to commence from Monday, he sought time six weeks time to respond.

He stated that the committee had provided voluminous material and assured to provide a comprehensive explanation only after examining all the details.

The BRS MLA also pointed out that the video clip regarding the March 29 incident was incomplete and requested the full video of the Assembly proceedings from that day.

The MLA further affirmed that he would provide a detailed response after reviewing the complete video. Accordingly, he requested the Ethics Committee to grant an extension of six weeks or until the conclusion of the Assembly session.
