Hyderabad: Former Nizamabad MP and MLC Kavitha strongly objected to the remarks of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma who stated that like Article 370, the names of Nizam and Owaisi too will be wiped out from Telangana. She wondered why the BJP leaders including himself feel threatened with the idea of unity.

In a series of tweets, Kavitha said the statements made by the Assam Chief Minister in Warangal have once again exposed the intentions of BJP to erase the glorious history of Telangana. She asked whether the BJP leaders forgot the verdict of Telangana in 2018, when BJP candidates lost their deposits in 107 Assembly constituencies.

She said the TRS party was formed from the struggle of peoples’ rights. “We fought for Telangana all by ourselves. As promised, we have generated over 1.3 lakh jobs so far for our people and we continue to create avenues,” she added. She reminded that the national unemployment rate under the BJP rule has been scaling up and it is at is 8 per cent now.

The former MP pointed out that the initiatives of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao like Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Laxmi and Mission Bhagiratha have been a testimony for entire country. “If you look up for these schemes, you’ll find some similar projects (in other States). Fun fact, your party renamed these schemes of Telangana Govt (at national level),” she stated.
