Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha has raised serious concerns over the Telangana Public Service Commission’s (TGPSC) handling of the Groups exams, demanding re-evaluation of the papers. She highlighted multiple discrepancies flagged by candidates in the Legislative Council on Monday.

The BRS legislator pointed out that withholding the Group-1 general ranking list violates notification rules. Questioning the issuance of different hall ticket numbers for prelims and mains, she urged the government to release a category-wise web note. She also criticised the removal of a recently posted web note, leading to confusion and suspicion of foul play among candidates.

Raising concerns over Group-2 and Group-3 exams, Kavitha noted that TGPSC invalidated 13,315 OMR sheets without providing clear reasons. Differences between the preliminary and final answer keys have led to reduced scores, affecting job prospects. She also alleged discrimination against Telugu-medium candidates, claiming errors in paper evaluation due to non-Telugu-speaking examiners.

She demanded clarity on the local and non-local category options in multi-zone recruitment, emphasising the need for transparency in the selection process.
