Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha extended greetings to coal miners of Singereni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on the foundation day of the Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS), lauding their relentless efforts in powering the nation.

In her message, Kavitha remembered the TBGKS’s 23-year history of committed advocacy for workers’ rights, including its significant role in the Telangana movement under the leadership of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

She called for TBGKS’s dedication to safeguarding the SCCL, particularly in resisting the privatisation and auctioning of coal mines. She demanded that the Union government allocate all coal mines in Telangana’s Godavari valley to the State-run SCCL and urged the State government to intensify pressure on the Centre in this regard.
