Hyderabad: MLC K Kavitha hit out at BJP leaders for their irresponsible remarks on issues pertaining to paddy procurement and questioned their commitment towards the development of the State. She demanded that the union government implement a ‘One Nation-One Procurement’ policy across the country.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the former MP derided the State BJP leaders for their rhetoric and wondered if they belonged to Telangana. She pointed out that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had clearly demanded a ‘One Nation-One Procurement’ policy for the entire country, which will benefit farmers of Telangana State. “How can the Centre adopt one policy for Punjab and Haryana States and another for the remaining States? If the Centre is procuring the entire crop produced in Punjab, it should purchase the entire crop produced in Telangana,” she demanded.
