Hyderabad: BRS leader and MLC Kavitha on Saturday raised concerns over the conduct of Congress and BJP MLCs. She alleged that these members repeatedly spread falsehoods during Council proceedings.
When BRS MLCs attempted to counter these claims, the Council chairman dismissed their efforts, asking them not to create “nuisance.” She demanded that the chairman’s comments be expunged from the official records, citing previous instances where similar remarks were made against BRS members.
She said the treatment of BRS members in both the Legislative Assembly and Council was concerning. She also said that they were not given due respect or representation.
Highlighting recent incidents, she pointed out the suspension of BRS members in the Assembly and remarks made against BRS members in the Council reflected a vindictive approach by the government towards the BRS.
