JAGTIAL: Terming Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s governance a cheap China phone that might look good but not work, BRS MLC K Kavitha said that in comparison to the Congress government, the tenure of K Chandrashekhar Rao was like a premium iPhone.

Addressing a press conference in Jagtial on Monday, Kavitha also asked why the State government was scared of revealing the caste wise statistics of the census. Stating that the government was misleading the BC community, she said the BC census was not done scientifically. AICC leader Rahul Gandhi had also misguided the Parliament on the BC census, she said.

Demanding the government to reveal the caste wise statistics of the census, Kavitha wanted the CM to reveal when the BC Bill would be placed in the Assembly.

Demanding the CM to conduct a review meeting on the issue, she wanted Revanth Reddy to hold talks with various caste organisations as well as legal experts since there was a possibility of legal problems coming up in the court.

The BRS fight would continue till the 42 per cent reservations were provided to BCs, she said and called upon the community people to be ready for another agitation like the separate Statehood movement.

Kavitha also found fault with the State government for not filling the flood flow canal in the district. Though the BRS government completed the Kaleshwaram project, the Congress government was unable to fill the FFC, which was a lifeline for Jagtial farmers.

Crops in Jagtial, Peddapalli and other districts were drying up due to lack of water in the FFC, she said.
