Kavitha urges Congress govt to complete Eklavya building
BRS MLC slammed the current Congress government for neglecting the Erukala Empowerment Scheme initiated by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and failing to act despite repeated demands in the Legislative Council.

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti President and BRS MLC K Kavitha demanded that the Congress government immediately complete the Eklavya building initiated by the previous BRS government.
Kavitha, who participated in Eklavya Jayanti celebrations at Tank Bund, paid tributes to the portrait of Ekalavya. She said Ekalavya’s story is an indication of the oppression faced by Bahujans and stands as a symbol of sacrifice and perseverance.
She urged all political parties to provide an opportunity to the Erukula community in the upcoming local body polls. She also demanded the creation of an Erukala Corporation with Rs. 500 crore funding.

“This scheme could benefit 50,000 Erukala families to the extent of Rs. 60 crore. Instead of shelving it, the government should strengthen and implement it,” she said.
