KCR appears before Kaleshwaram Commission amid tight security
Former Telangana CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao appeared before the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission in Hyderabad over the Kaleshwaram project probe. Despite tight security, BRS leaders and supporters gathered in large numbers near BRK Bhavan, shouting slogans in his support.

Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao appeared before the Justice PC Ghose Commission at 11:30 am at BRK Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday in connection with the inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
Scores of policemen were deployed in huge numbers and restrictions were imposed within 200 metres of BRK Bhavan, even as hundreds of BRS leaders and activists occupied all the roads leading to the building.
The former Chief Minister started from his Erravelli residence at around 9.30 am and reached BRK Bhavan around 11 am. Around nine members were allowed to accompany Chandrashekhar Rao into BRK Bhavan. Senior leaders T Harish Rao, Mohd Mahmood Ali, T Padma Rao Goud and other leaders were seen accompanying him. He will be deposing before the Justice PC Ghose Commission alone. He was seen carrying a set of files comprising documents to be submitted to the Commission.
Though unprecedented security arrangements were made and all roads from BRK Bhavan were barricaded, the BRS cadre led by party working president KT Rama Rao flooded the area from all quarters. Rama Rao who led a large crowd from the MLA Quarters in Adarshnagar, reached BRK Bhavan, but waited outside along with the BRS cadre who occupied the road outside BRK Bhavan even as cadre raised slogans of “KCR Zindabad” and “CM Down Down”.
