Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Padma Vibhushan Ratan Tata, hailing the iconic businessman as a humanitarian and visionary whose contributions transcended the business world.
He noted that Tata’s demise was not just a loss to the Indian industrial sector but to the society at large, which benefited from his philosophy of inclusive development.
In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao remembered Ratan Tata’s legacy of philanthropy and his belief in ensuring that the fruits of development reach the grassroots level. He said the business icon’s values and actions have shown the path for societal progress and future generations.
Recalling Tata’s visit to Telangana, he said the State took pride in Tata’s appreciation of its rapid industrial and technological growth, driven by visionary policies of the previous BRS government. He felt that Ratan Tata’s demise is a loss for everyone who strives for societal progress. He extended his heartfelt condolences to Tata’s family, praying for his soul to rest in peace.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao lauded Tata as a “humble legend” and a “true innovator” who left an indelible mark on both business and philanthropy. He said the demise of Ratan Tata left a void in the world of business, philanthropy and humanity.
“Every time we look at THub, we will remember you, sir,” he said, referring to the startup incubator that Ratan Tata had supported. He stated that Tata would live in the hearts of people and remain a source of inspiration for everyone who wishes to make the world a better place. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Tata family, the Tata Group and all those whose lives were touched by him.
