KCR condoles demise of Gangadevipalli former sarpanch Rajamouli
BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao condoled the death of former Gangadevipalli sarpanch Koosam Rajamouli, recalling his role in developing the village into a model through participatory governance and rural development initiatives that inspired the State government’s Palle Pragathi programme

Hyderabad: BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao condoled the demise of former sarpanch Koosam Rajamouli of Gangadevipalli in Warangal district. He recalled Rajamouli as a key person in transforming Gangadevipalli into one of the country’s best-known model villages through strong local self-governance, public participation and a focus on rural development.
In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao said Rajamouli involved villagers in decision-making, strengthened the rural economy and set an example for panchayat-level administration. He said the previous BRS government had drawn inspiration from Rajamouli’s experience in rural development and initiated the Palle Pragathi programme with similar objectives.
Calling his death a loss to the Panchayat Raj system, he said leaders and officials from across the State and the country had visited Gangadevipalli to study its development model. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
