Karimnagar: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar on Monday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s governance had become a model for the entire nation. Chandrashekhar Rao, who has been striving for the welfare of all sections of society, was implementing various welfare and developmental schemes for the upliftment of caste-based occupations, he said.
The Minister was speaking after BJP Mahila Morcha leaders joined TRS in Jammikunta. The Chief Minister, he said, had put an end to women’s problem of coming onto the roads with empty pots by completing Mission Bhagiratha.
Aasara pensions, KCR Kit, Amma Odi and other schemes have also been implemented, he said and asked the people to compare the welfare and developmental programmes of Telangana government with the Union government led by BJP. Except for selling public sector undertakings and increasing prices of diesel, petrol and cooking gas, the central government has done nothing for the welfare of the people.
So, BJP would do nothing if the BJP candidate won in the Huzurabad by-polls. People of Huzurabad would suffer a lot if BJP leader Eatala Rajender would win the by-election, the Ministered warned.
Constituency people elected BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar as MP from Karimnagar parliament constituency. However, the MP never visited Huzurabad and has done a single developmental work during the last two and half years.
Informing that Rs 50 crore worth works were in progress in Jammikunta town, he assured to sanction another Rs 50 crore worth works in the coming days. He appealed to the people to win TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav to continue developmental activities further.
Earlier, the Minister participated in Mudiraj community meeting held in Abadijammikunta. Pointing out that the State government was giving top priority for the development of the fisheries community, he said tanks and ponds were developed under Mission Kakatiya programme and fish seed is being supplied to the community free of cost.
Before the formation of Telangana, middlemen used to supply fish seed to fishermen and procure well grown fish at cheaper price. However, the situation has changed. About Rs 50 lakh worth fish is being grown in each tank across the State.
Fishing nets, mopeds, auto trolleys, batteries and boxes have been provided to fishermen on subsidy to earn money by selling fish in the market.
On the other hand, sheep are being distributed to shepherd community people under the sheep development scheme. Though the union government refused to procure paddy, the Chief Minister has purchased every grain produced by the farmers.
