KCR, KTR extend greetings to people for Basaveshwara Jayanti

Hyderabad: BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Basaveshwara Jayanti. He paid rich tributes to the 12th-century social reformer and founder of the Veerashaiva Lingayat tradition.

He cited Basavanna’s famous principle that “the body is the temple and there is no God greater than work.” He said Basaveshwara’s teachings on equality, honesty, and dignity of labour should continue to inspire efforts toward building a just and inclusive society. He urged citizens to draw inspiration from Basavanna’s ideals and work collectively to eliminate discrimination and inequality.
