Kochi: The Kerala High Court has been conferred the gold award at the National e-Governance Awards 2026 for its DCMS, officials said on Monday. The court received the award in the category of ‘Innovation by Use of AI and other new age technologies for providing Citizen-centric Services’, a release said.

The award recognises the High Court’s “exemplary efforts” in harnessing technology to enhance the efficiency, transparency and accessibility of judicial administration, the release said. The award was presented during the 29th National Conference on e-Governance 2026, held in Jaipur in July, it said. “Organised by the Government of India, the conference serves as a premier national platform to showcase and recognise outstanding e-Governance initiatives implemented by central and state governments, public sector organisations and other institutions,” the release said.

A delegation from the High Court of Kerala, comprising Joseph Rajesh K A, Registrar (Computerisation)-cum-Director (IT), Rakesh M G, Deputy Director (IT), Ishaque K V, Principal Technical Officer, and Jaseena S M, Technical Project Manager, attended the conference and received the award.

The District Court Case Management System, developed by the High Court, has transformed the management of case records and judicial processes in the District Judiciary by introducing streamlined digital workflows, improved monitoring mechanisms and enhanced access to information, the release said. “The project has played a significant role in advancing paperless and technology-enabled court administration, thereby contributing to the efficient delivery of justice,” it said.
