Kerala to release revised vigilance manual under project zero initiative

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will release the revised Vigilance Manual on Wednesday as part of the state Vigilance department’s Project Zero initiative aimed at strengthening anti-corruption measures.
The manual will be released at a function to be held at 10.30 am at an auditorium of the Police Training College here, according to an official statement on Monday.
The event will also feature a review meeting of internal vigilance heads of various government departments and public sector undertakings as part of Project Zero, an anti-corruption initiative spearheaded by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (VACB). Kerala Lokayukta Justice N Anil Kumar will preside over the function, while Transport Minister C P John will be the chief guest, it said.
Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Vigilance) Minhaj Alam and Kannur Range DIG K Karthik, VACB Director DGP Manoj Abraham and DIG Thomson Jose would also participate in the function, it added.
